Working Principle

The DHT11 contains a humidity-sensing component and an NTC temperature sensor, combined with a digital signal processor. The sensor periodically measures the environment and sends the data to the microcontroller in digital format.

Each data transmission includes:

• Relative humidity value

• Temperature value

• Checksum for data integrity

This makes the DHT11 easy to use without requiring complex signal conditioning.
